It’s That Green Again
There’s something about the colour of things at this time of year, a particular shade of green we only see for a few weeks. It’s vibrant and promising. It signals a fresh start. Just what is needed.
My favourite copse has started to green over nicely.
Dandelions are so advanced they have already started to throw out their seeds
Wood anemones are like little stars shining through the greenery
Right now the wild honeysuckle is growing fast
Hawthorne leaves are unfolding
Cow parsley is well on and will have huge milky flowers in a month or so.
Hello? Who’s that little cat? He’s blending in well. Probably looking for a sleepy mouse for lunch.

I love green. The wonderful rich green of spring. So lovely.

You are right about those few weeks of vibrant green. I think you are a little ahead of us. So we have more of the green to look forward to! P.S. my fave photo up above is that dandelion with its seeds.
